This listing details a beautiful crystal from the Yuzhnyi Quarry in the Astaf'evskoe deposit of the Ural Mountains in Chelyabinsk Oblast, Russia. These amazing specimens were extracted in the fall of 1983. We originally acquired this small collection around 2012- awaiting the right time for releasing them. After being tucked away for over a decade, opening these crystals has been nothing short of exhilarating. At the time we received them, it was obvious they were special; however, after handling countless more crystals from all over the world, this becomes exponentially evident. Each piece is so unique among other quartz- it is no wonder they are prized by collectors. These crystals show evidence that the growth conditions were very dynamic in the pocket. Shifting movements, introduction of new solutions, and ranging temperatures create the perfect environment for internal rainbows, growth lines/ glyphs/ etchings, mineral inclusions and more. As a whole, crystals from this location are often double terminated, featuring hydrothermal etching/ regrowth, elestial habits, and interference. Many faces of the terminations are etched, or feature complex habits. These crystals have a unique luster. The smooth faces have a soft, almost waxy feel that is soothing in hand. Areas that show interference or regrowth have a light drusy effect. The color ranges from smokey- yellow-champagne to true white depending on the piece. All surfaces are completely natural and unpolished.
Crystals from this location are also known as 'Sacred Scribe', or 'Lemurian' because of their semi- striated growth habit and tendency to form glyph like record keepers. They definitely have an energy reminiscent to the original Lemurians. They have an ancient- knowing presence. When in hand, it is difficult not to be drawn into mindfulness and inquiry. Truly unique and beautiful, it is difficult not to be at a loss for words when it comes to these special crystals.

Is shipping guaranteed to track?
Standard shipping is the most economical method- First Class Mail through the U.S. Postal Service. This does not come with guaranteed tracking to the destination. The package usually scans and updates within the U.S. however, international tracking is not available. It is the buyers responsibility to understand all shipping/customs policies in their country.
We offer many shipping upgrades which include tracking and insurance upon request. Please contact us to customize shipping options (such as signature confirmation and added insurance) or select 'Tracking and Insurance' as an upgrade to Priority mail.

Are there estimated shipping times for First Class Package?
I ship through USPS First Class Mail in order to offer low cost shipping. Unfortunately, this service is highly variable on shipping times, and is inconsistent in tracking international. Typically packages can arrive anywhere from 10-30 business days or longer. Although First Class is my default shipping method I highly recommend upgraded shipping for express shipping times, guaranteed tracking, and insurance.
